Strategic Negotiations with European Partners

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, briefed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the preparations for today's negotiations with advisors on national security from European leaders, scheduled to take place in Brussels. This information was shared by the head of state via Telegram.
«Rustem Umerov reported on the readiness for today's meetings in Brussels with advisors on national security from European countries. Along with the Secretary of the NSDC of Ukraine, Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov will also be present at the meetings. This is our constant coordination with partners, and we ensure an active negotiation process,» - emphasized Zelenskyy.
According to him, the Ukrainian representatives will inform their European counterparts about the outcomes of yesterday's contacts with the American side in Moscow and will discuss the importance of the European component in the necessary security architecture.
Zelenskyy mentioned that after Brussels, Umerov and Hnatov will prepare a meeting with representatives of President Trump in the United States. «As always, Ukraine will work constructively for the sake of a lasting peace. I look forward to a new report following today's discussions in Europe,» - stated Zelenskyy.
White House special envoy Steve Vitkoff and President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner met with Russian leader Putin in the Kremlin on Tuesday to discuss plans for establishing peace in Ukraine. The Kremlin described the talks with American representatives as useful but noted that no compromise on the peace plan for Ukraine has been achieved.
