On Tuesday, December 2, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will embark on his inaugural official visit to Ireland. According to RTE, during this visit, he will hold a bilateral meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin and will also meet with President Catherine Connolly.
Zelensky is expected to address the joint session of the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) and participate in the opening ceremony of the Ireland-Ukraine Economic Forum, alongside Irish Deputy Prime Minister Simon Harris and Foreign Minister Helen McEntee.
The First Lady, Olena Zelenska, will accompany the President on this trip. The head of the Irish government welcomed the news of the Ukrainian President's visit and stated that Ireland has shown unwavering support for Ukraine since the onset of the full-scale war, providing refuge to around 120,000 Ukrainian refugees.
Additionally, French President Emmanuel Macron will host President Zelensky in Paris on December 1 to discuss security guarantees and continue discussions initiated in Geneva regarding the American peace plan.
