During a patrol, officers from the Dnipro Police Department in Kyiv stopped a young man who was found in possession of illegal substances during a document check.
The suspect, a 26-year-old resident of Kyiv, was acting as a "courier" for an illegal online drug store, responsible for leaving "drops" of product for customers.
A total of 150 containers of cannabis extract were seized from him, with another 50 packages of marijuana found at his home.
Forensic analysis confirmed that the seized items were narcotics. The suspect was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Investigators have charged him under part 1 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for the illegal acquisition and storage of narcotic substances with the intent to distribute. The penalty for this charge carries a sentence of up to eight years in prison.
