New Peace Talks Between Ukraine and the USA
Ukraine and the United States have concluded significant negotiations in Geneva, resulting in the preparation of a new document regarding the peace process. This was reported by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, via his Telegram channel.
On November 23, representatives from both countries held a constructive meeting in Geneva to discuss the American peace proposal. The negotiations focused on achieving a fair and lasting peace through mutual respect.
Yermak noted that the consultations were productive, leading to significant progress in aligning positions and determining the next steps.
Both parties confirmed that any future agreement must respect Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure a sustainable peace. A revised peace document was prepared based on the negotiations, Yermak reported.
The Ukrainian delegation expressed gratitude to the United States, particularly President Donald Trump, for their unwavering commitment to ending the war and preserving human lives.
Yermak also mentioned that Ukraine and the USA plan to continue working on joint proposals and will maintain contact with European partners.
Final decisions regarding the framework document will be made by the Presidents of Ukraine and the USA, Yermak added.
Both parties reiterated their willingness to work together to achieve peace that guarantees security and stability for Ukraine.
It is worth noting that on November 22, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree to establish a delegation for negotiations with the USA and other international partners. Yermak leads the delegation.
Earlier reports indicated that the Trump administration was conducting secret consultations with the Kremlin to devise a new plan to end the war in Ukraine.
According to an Axios publication, the plan consists of 28 points and is divided into four main categories: peace in Ukraine, security guarantees, security in Europe, and future relations between the USA, Russia, and Ukraine.
Zelensky stated that Ukraine, the USA, and Europe will work together to make a realistic path to peace.
Trump confirmed that his administration set November 27 as the deadline for Ukraine to agree to the White House's plan to end the war.
