On the night of November 14, an air alert in Kyiv lasted over 5 hours due to enemy attacks. According to the Kyiv Metro, more than 19,500 people, including 1,200 children, sought refuge in metro stations.
46 underground stations in the capital operate 24/7 as shelters. All entrances remain open.
To make your stay at the stations safe and comfortable, it is recommended to bring:
warm clothing, blankets, and sleeping mats, as the temperature in the shelter ranges from 17-18°C, and drafts may occur;
personal medications and a bottle of water;
hygiene products (wet and dry wipes);
for pet owners — pads and bags.
