New Partnership Between GUR and NaUKMA to Strengthen Defense

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has signed a memorandum of strategic partnership with the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy." The document was signed by GUR head, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, and NaUKMA President Serhiy Kvit. The primary goal of this initiative is to combine the practical experience of military intelligence with the academic expertise of Mohyla Academy to better understand the common enemy.
It is planned to study Russian society, state institutions, propaganda approaches, and ways of thinking. Intelligence specialists will collaborate with the departments of international relations at NaUKMA and the School of Political Analytics.
"To defeat the enemy, it is essential to know how he thinks and acts. We are ready to share our unique experiences with the Mohyla Academy. Science and intelligence will work together to strengthen the state’s defense potential," stated Kyrylo Budanov.
The collaboration between GUR and Kyiv-Mohyla Academy will include joint research, educational activities, and knowledge exchange, which will prepare a new generation of specialists who deeply understand the enemy and can effectively counter his influence.
"We have created a certification program called 'Russian Studies' to investigate Russia as a threat. The enemy you do not know is the most dangerous. That is why studying him is part of our contribution to the common victory. Cooperation with GUR will make these studies systematic and as effective as possible," emphasized Serhiy Kvit.
Earlier, GUR specialists demonstrated a scheme of the Russian drone "Orion" and data on 43 enterprises involved in its production, of which a third are currently not under sanctions from any of the countries in the sanctions coalition.
