A 40-year-old man was involved in a shooting incident on the European Union Avenue in Kyiv, injuring two passersby. The altercation began as he was drinking alcohol with friends and escalated into violence. One victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, while the other was hit in the abdomen.
Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene, but police quickly identified and apprehended him. An investigation led to a search of his residence where a firearm was recovered. The suspect has been charged with a serious offense related to public disorder, with potential penalties reaching seven years in prison.
