Zelensky's Visit to Norway: Continued Support for Ukraine

On Wednesday, October 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Norway, as reported by NRK.
Zelensky is set to meet with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in the capital, Oslo. The president's arrival was confirmed by his spokesperson, Serhiy Nykyforov.
Støre pledged that Norway would continue to support Ukraine.
"I warmly welcome President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska. Norway stands by Ukraine in its quest for a lasting peace that the Ukrainian people deserve," he emphasized in his statement.
The Prime Minister noted that during the meeting with Zelensky, they would discuss the front lines in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
"I had a discussion with Zelensky after his meeting with Donald Trump. Europeans strongly support his stance. This meeting aims to continue negotiations with Ukraine within the framework of discussions with European partners," he noted.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha also arrived in Oslo.
"This will undoubtedly be a historic meeting," he stated.
On the same day, Zelensky will travel to Sweden to meet with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
European leaders stated on Tuesday, October 21, that they "strongly support" an immediate end to Russia's war in Ukraine at the current positions to create conditions for peace negotiations.
Media reported that European countries are working with Ukraine on a 12-point proposal to end Russia's war at the present battle lines.
