The incident occurred yesterday around 21:30 at the metro station «Obolon» in Kyiv.
A group of teenagers attacked a 24-year-old local man, knocking him to the ground and beating him. Law enforcement quickly intervened and apprehended all parties involved in the altercation.
It was found that the attackers were five teenagers aged between 13 and 17, along with two older friends, aged 19 and 21. They explained their actions by claiming that the man had offended their female companion who was with them. The police interviewed the minors and returned them to their parents.
The police investigation department in the metro registered the incident under part 2 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — gross violation of public order motivated by blatant disrespect for society, committed by a group of individuals. All circumstances of the event are being clarified within the initiated criminal proceedings.
