Smart Medical Products has unveiled a groundbreaking expert-class ultrasound system named HandyUsound.
The device was showcased at the 34th International Medical Exhibition, Public Health 2025, where medical experts gathered to discuss the advancement and modernization of healthcare.
HandyUsound is a fully Ukrainian development, created by engineer and CTO of Smart Medical Products, Maxim Smolyar.
The ultrasound system weighs 10 kilograms and is designed for easy transportation due to its compact size. A key advantage of the device is its ability to operate for up to eight hours continuously without being plugged into the power grid.
The main aim of creating this product was to provide military medics with a reliable tool for diagnostics even in the most challenging conditions.
Thus, the system can be utilized in field conditions, accommodating the needs of tactical and military medicine. Given that the device must function in crisis scenarios where access to stationary equipment is limited, the ultrasound system operates autonomously, is easy to transport and maintain, and is resilient to harsh operational conditions.
“HandyUsound is a product developed in the realities of war for the real needs of military medics and mobile teams. We combined engineering expertise with clinical requirements to provide reliable, autonomous, and high-quality diagnostics where it matters most,” stated Maxim Smolyar.
