A 38-year-old previously convicted man from Kyiv faces up to 10 years in prison.
In August, a 45-year-old woman reported to the police that a stranger approached her on the European Union Avenue and snatched her bag containing her passport and cash. The police quickly identified and apprehended the suspect.
It was found that the 38-year-old had a criminal history, including convictions for intentional homicide, robbery, and hooliganism. Investigators charged him with two offenses under the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 4 of Article 186 - robbery committed during martial law and Part 3 of Article 357 - document theft.
The case materials have been forwarded to court. The suspect will soon face trial and answer for his actions according to the law. The penalties for these charges can lead to a maximum of ten years of imprisonment.
