Drug Trafficking in Kyiv: Arrests and Investigations

The organizer and four accomplices have been detained and charged. They face up to 12 years in prison along with asset confiscation.
Operatives from the Strategic Investigations Department in Kyiv, in collaboration with local police, documented the illegal activities of the group led by a 30-year-old man.
Under his direction, the accomplices distributed several kilograms of drugs each month. Among the seized substances were methadone, amphetamines, and others.
Orders were fulfilled via mail and stash placements. Monthly earnings from these sales reached about 5 million UAH.
On August 26, police conducted searches at the suspects' residences. Almost 300 grams of the banned substance Alpha-PVP, electronic scales, packaging materials, communication devices, and drug paraphernalia were seized.
The suspects have been charged under Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They are currently in custody.
The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
