A resident of Bila Tserkva has been arrested for setting fire to a vehicle used by employees of the local recruitment center. He faces up to eight years in prison.
The police received a report about the fire from a center employee who, along with colleagues, attempted to extinguish the flames.
Investigation revealed that the 36-year-old suspect entered the RTC and SP premises at night, where a Nissan Navara was parked. He used a specially prepared flammable liquid to set the rear of the vehicle on fire. After confirming that the car was burning, he fled the scene.
Law enforcement officers and the Security Service of Ukraine quickly identified the suspect. He has been detained and placed in a temporary holding facility.
Based on the collected evidence, the prosecutor's office informed him of suspicion for obstructing the lawful activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
