Traffic Adjustments on Desenka Bridge
Today, August 15, from 11:00 and throughout the weekend, traffic on the bridge over the Desenka River will proceed in two lanes in each direction. This is reported by the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City Administration.
Starting Monday, August 18, reverse traffic flow will be implemented as follows:
- In the morning, 3 lanes will operate from the left bank to the right bank, with 1 lane in the opposite direction;
- Approximately from 14:00, 3 lanes will go towards the left bank, and 1 lane towards the right;
- On weekends, there will be 2 lanes in each direction.
The Department states that these schedule changes are related to the analysis of passenger flow on Fridays and the need to optimize traffic.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to road signs and plan their trips considering the updated schedule.
The Kyiv City Road Administration reminded that the bridge over Desenka was constructed in 1974, with the last major repair conducted in 2005.
To ensure safe operation, specialists from the municipal enterprise regularly perform necessary maintenance work.
Specifically, from 2022 to 2024, the entire roadway from the right bank to the left bank has been repaired, and partially in the opposite direction.
