Fraudulent activity has been uncovered regarding the procurement of generators for shelters in educational institutions. Four entrepreneurs and one official from the Dnipro RDA's Education Department have been charged with inflating prices on the equipment.
The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office has initiated a case regarding the misappropriation of budget funds (Part 4 Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), involving entrepreneurs who supplied the generators. Additionally, the head of the department is suspected of complicity in this matter (Part 5 Article 27, Part 4 Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Experts estimate that the Education Department purchased generators at inflated prices, leading to losses of 870 thousand UAH. One entrepreneur won the tender, another sourced the generators from the market, while two others assisted in moving the funds and signing documents.
Currently, the issue of preventive measures for the suspects and the suspension of the department head from her position is being addressed.
