Today, August 8, the Kyiv Metro has launched an innovative cultural project that explores the connection between the city’s subway and Igor Sikorsky KPI. This was announced by the municipal enterprise.
Until August 31, posters highlighting the contributions of KPI graduates and scholars to the development of the city, transportation infrastructure, and particularly the metro, can be seen at the «Polytechnic Institute» station. The project serves as a reminder that the station's name is not just a map reference but part of the shared history between the university and the city.
According to the municipal enterprise, nearly 300 KPI graduates currently work in the Kyiv Metro. These specialists from various fields ensure the subway operates daily: they transport passengers, maintain technical systems, and oversee the safety and stability of the metro operations.
