Efforts for Peace: Zelensky Announces Key Talks
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that on Thursday he will engage in numerous crucial calls to advance the peace process and ensure Ukraine's independence under any circumstances.
This information was shared by Zelensky via Telegram.
In his words: "I have several important conversations scheduled, including one with German Chancellor Merz. We will also stay in touch with colleagues from France and Italy. Additionally, there will be consultations at the level of national security advisors, which I have instructed to organize today".
Zelensky also noted that on August 6, following a joint conversation with President Donald Trump and European leaders, he separately spoke with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
"It is essential to discuss key details. The priorities are absolutely clear. First – to stop the killings, and Russia must cease fire. Second – a format for leaders so that the meeting can genuinely lead to long-lasting peace... Third – enduring security. This is possible with the involvement of the United States and Europe", – emphasized the president.
According to him, finding real solutions to end the war can be "truly effective" at the leadership level, so it is crucial to determine the timing for such a format and the scope of issues to be addressed.
