Injuries Reported Among Children on Kyiv Amusement Ride

The police in Kyiv have initiated a criminal investigation following an incident on a cable car in «Victory» park. Last evening, two young children collided while enjoying the ride, resulting in injuries.

Rescue teams brought the children down, and medical personnel transported a 10-year-old girl with a broken arm and a 12-year-old boy with chest and abdominal injuries to the hospital.

Investigators have opened a case under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 1 of Article 271 — violation of safety regulations; Part 1 of Article 137 — improper performance of duties regarding the protection of children's health and life.

As part of the investigation, authorities seized portions of the cable car, equipment, documentation, and video footage. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
