Heatwave in Kyiv: Risks of Heatstroke
The scorching heat in Kyiv has persisted for several days, with no significant drop in temperature expected soon.
Today, the Municipal Guard provided urgent assistance to a man suffering from heatstroke in the city center.
According to the «Municipal Guard», a report was received that a man felt unwell at the entrance of the «Volodymyrska Hill» park.
The guards quickly arrived at the scene, administered first aid, and awaited the arrival of an ambulance called by the man's wife.
The couple expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the assistance and care. Once the threat had passed, they called a taxi and left the park area.
«During hot weather, remember essential safety measures: avoid prolonged sun exposure, wear hats, drink plenty of water, and pay close attention to your health and that of your loved ones,» the Municipal Guard emphasized.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reminds that a slight decrease in temperature to 27 degrees is expected on July 11, after which it will rise again to 32 degrees. Additionally, from July 11 to 13, a high fire danger level is anticipated in Ukraine, particularly in Kyiv and most northern regions.
