Cultural Heritage Exhibition of the Hanenko Family
A new exhibition has opened at the Hanenko Museum, highlighting the history and cultural contributions of the Hanenko family. Visitors can learn about the beginnings of their unique library and collections.
The exhibition "Art and Heritage" will run from June 26 to September 14, showcasing a vast array of artifacts gathered from family archives.
Organizers spent over two years searching for materials to create this unique display.
Why "Art and Heritage"? This relates to the classification system for books, where works on art are marked in a specific manner.
The Hanenko family archives hold many intriguing works, ranging from poetry to paintings by renowned artists.
Visitor Elizabeth shared her impressions: "The exhibition is interesting and atmospheric, and the museum impresses with its organization and love for art."
The exhibition features four halls, where various collections of books, letters, and newspaper clippings can be seen.
The second hall reflects the library's efforts under socialist authority, while the third hall tells the story of international connections and recognition of the family.
The last hall showcases international collections, including works from Chinese and European art.
