Water Safety: Lifeguards Warn About Dangers
One of the boys found himself underwater while the other two tried to save him.
As the summer season begins and residents flock to the beaches, the city’s lifeguard service reminds everyone of the need to follow water safety rules.
Yesterday, a serious incident occurred that fortunately ended without casualties due to prompt action.
Three young swimmers were playing in the water without adult supervision. One of them suddenly submerged and began to struggle. The other two, attempting to help, also found themselves in trouble.
The situation was saved by lifeguard Maxim Boyko, who quickly pulled the boys from the water and spoke to them about safety.
He ensured they were calm and resting on the shore, and there was no need to call the police as the incident was resolved.
Lifeguards remind everyone of the water safety rules:
- Never leave children unattended!
- Choose beaches where lifeguards are present.
- Assess your abilities.
- Do not swim beyond marked boundaries.
- Avoid dangerous games and roughhousing in the water.
- If you see someone in trouble, immediately call for help.
Remember, your safety is in your hands! Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
