Rally in Support of POWs in Kyiv
On July 6th at 5:00 PM, a rally will be held in Kyiv near the «Lybidska» metro station, along Antonovicha Street and Lybidska Square, to support Ukrainian prisoners of war and those missing in action.
The event is organized by the Association of Families of Azovstal Defenders.
The purpose of the rally is to draw attention to the fate of thousands of Ukrainian defenders who are currently held captive. Participants will come out to express their support for the imprisoned, their families, and to remind everyone that the struggle continues not only on the front lines but also for the liberation of every one of our people.
Organizers encourage attendees to bring flags, posters, or simply their open hearts — to collectively declare: we do not forget.
“Every voice matters. Every presence is a sign of support,” the Association states.
It is known that Russians violate all norms of international law and the Geneva Conventions that govern the treatment of prisoners of war. In addition to inadequate conditions, the enemy employs torture during interrogations and subjects captives to psychological humiliation.
Ukrainian and international legal organizations have already documented deaths in enemy captivity due to torture and intolerable conditions.
