Yaroslava Mahuchikh Secures Silver Again in Paris
Yaroslava Mahuchikh has once again claimed silver at the Diamond League.
Two Ukrainian athletes, Yulia Levchenko and Yaroslava Mahuchikh, participated in the Paris stage.
Among their main competitors were Australians Nicola Olyslaegers and Eleanor Patterson, who recently won medals at the indoor world championships.
Yulia Levchenko was the first Ukrainian to compete in the sector, successfully clearing 1.83 m on her first attempt, but she faltered at 1.88 m.
Levchenko decided to move directly to 1.91 m but failed to clear that height in two attempts, finishing in 11th place.
Mahuchikh, however, confidently cleared 1.91 m.
She faced challenges at 1.94 m, failing to clear it in her first two attempts but successfully clearing 1.97 m on her last attempt, matching her Australian rivals.
Only Mahuchikh and the Australians reached the 2.00 m mark. Patterson and Mahuchikh both could not clear that height, while Olyslaegers successfully cleared it on her second attempt.
Thus, Olyslaegers took first place, Mahuchikh secured second, and Patterson finished third.
