Crackdown on Illegal Gambling Establishments in Kyiv

Detectives from the Territorial Office of the BEB in Kyiv have uncovered and halted the operations of illegal gambling establishments in the capital of Ukraine.

The underground casinos were located in non-residential premises of the Svyatoshyn and Desnyan districts. Administrators allowed visitors only after ensuring that law enforcement was not present through surveillance cameras.

The detectives conducted seven authorized searches at the locations of these illegal establishments. During investigative actions, property used to provide access to online gambling was discovered and seized.

Specifically, more than 150 sets of computer equipment, about 40 units of specialized furniture, networking equipment, handwritten notes, and household appliances were confiscated. The estimated value of the seized items is around 1.5 million UAH.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, with the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office overseeing the proceedings.
