Weightlifting Championship in Lima: Ukrainian Athletes Shine

The capital of Peru, Lima, hosted an international weightlifting championship where the Ukrainian team earned several medals.

The Ukrainian Weightlifting Federation reports impressive results from our athletes.

In the under-20 category, Anna Kalashnik finished second in the clean and jerk in the weight class over 87 kg, achieving a result of 135 kg.

Serhiy Kotelevskyi became the absolute champion by winning first place in all three events — snatch, clean and jerk, and total — among boys under 17. Volodymyr Chmykh also earned medals, finishing as both a silver and bronze medalist.

Andrii Borovskyi claimed bronze in the clean and jerk (165 kg) and snatch (201 kg) in the under-20 category (109+ kg).
