Impressive Victory for Marta Kostyuk Against Poland
Marta Kostyuk (25) earned Ukraine's first point in the qualifying match of the Billie Jean King Cup against Poland.
In the match between the second-ranked players from both countries, Kostyuk dominated Katarzyna Kawa (156) in just 1 hour and 7 minutes, winning 6:1, 6:2.
The contest lacked real competition. Marta immediately imposed her aggressive style on her opponent, which Kawa struggled to counter.
In the first set, for instance, the Polish player failed to win a single point actively. Therefore, the outcome was clear well before the match concluded.
Kostyuk recorded two aces, made two double faults, and achieved five breaks during the match. Kawa had no aces, one service error, and one break.
