Artem Dovbyk, the striker for Roma and the Ukrainian national team, has been named the best player of March in Italy's Serie A.
This was reported by the press service of the elite division of the Italian championship.
The Ukrainian triumphed in the fan voting. Other nominees included Nicolò Barella (Inter), Lucas Da Cunha (Como), Nicolò Fagioli (Fiorentina), Riccardo Orsolini (Bologna), and Umar Sadiq (Udinese).
Dovbyk is the second Ukrainian to win the Player of the Month award in Serie A. Ruslan Malinovskyi has won it twice—once in May 2021 and again in February 2022, while playing for Atalanta.
In March, Dovbyk played 4 matches for Roma, scoring 3 goals. This is his first Player of the Month award in the Italian league.
Overall, the former Girona striker has 16 goals and 4 assists in 40 matches for Roma across all competitions this season. Claudio Ranieri's team currently sits in 7th place in the Serie A standings.
