Youth Leaders Conference in Kyiv: Initiatives for Urban Development
The II All-Ukrainian conference for young leaders with international participation «PROKYIV» took place in Kyiv. Over two days, young activists, researchers, and university students presented their projects aimed at improving city life. The event was opened by Mykola Povoroznyk, the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
«We are always open to cooperation with the community and invite youth to be part of the change. Their energy and innovations are vital for our city's development. Kyiv must remain a place for new ideas and opportunities for young people», – stated Povoroznyk.
Kyiv, thanks to its youth, is becoming an agent of change in the face of global challenges.
The «PROKYIV» conference was held for the second time with the support of the Kyiv City State Administration as part of the Kyiv Development Platform, organized by the KNDU «Institute for Socio-Economic Development of the City» and other educational institutions.
This year, the event lasted two days due to a large number of participants. The first day was dedicated to student project presentations, while the second took place at the city hall.
During the conference, youth initiatives for creating an inclusive environment were discussed, along with issues of mental health and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
«This platform unites those ready for change in the capital and fosters open dialogue. Young leaders can present their ideas, receive feedback, and hear expert opinions on implementing their projects», – emphasized Serhiy Pavlovskyi, director of the KNDU «NDIRoM».
The conference brought together over 300 participants, including representatives from 20 educational institutions in Kyiv and 15 organizations from other cities in Ukraine and abroad.
