For the year 2024, Ukraine's debt to the World Bank has increased by 65%, reaching $22.6 billion.
This information is reported by Forbes Ukraine, citing data from the Ministry of Finance.
The World Bank's share in the total public debt of Ukraine has reached 14%, while its role among external creditors stands at 19%.
The rapid rise in Ukraine's debt to the World Bank is attributed to many international partners channeling funds to Ukraine through this institution's funds, the publication states.
The total debt to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) increased by 15% over the year, now totaling $18.9 billion.
Ukraine's debt to the European Union rose by 34% in 2024 to $44 billion, with the EU's share in the public debt being 34%.

As of November 30, 2024, Ukraine's public and guaranteed debt amounted to 6,644.68 billion UAH, or $159.74 billion.
Throughout 2024, the total public and guaranteed debt increased by 1,461.3 billion UAH, equivalent to $20.74 billion USD.
