New Council Established to Support Entrepreneurship in Ukraine
The President of Ukraine has signed a decree to establish a new Council aimed at supporting entrepreneurship, simultaneously dissolving five previous advisory bodies.
This information was released on the website of the Office of the President.
"To ensure the constitutional rights for business activities and to enhance efforts for the qualitative development and realization of Ukraine's investment potential, I decree to establish a Council for Entrepreneurship Support as an advisory body under the President of Ukraine," the decree states.
The new Council's key tasks include:
- analyzing the effectiveness of state policies in entrepreneurship development and preparing recommendations for problem-solving;
- developing measures to improve the conditions for business operation, stimulate investment and innovation activities, and protect property rights;
- processing legislative initiatives related to entrepreneurship and investment, and proposing improvements to Ukraine's legislation in these areas;
- promoting cooperation between government authorities, local self-governance, and business entities for effective resolution of business-related issues.
The head of the Council has been appointed as Andriy Yermak, with Julia Svyrydenko serving as his deputy.
Over 70 entrepreneurs have been included in the Council, including Oleg Horokhovsky, Maxim Timchenko, Serhiy Tigipko, Ihor Nikonov, and Vyacheslav Klymov. The full composition of the Council can be found on the Office of the President's website.
At the same time, Zelensky dissolved five other advisory bodies:
- National Reform Council;
- Executive Committee for Reforms;
- National Investment Council;
- Council for the Development of Small Entrepreneurship;
- Council for Entrepreneurship Support during Martial Law.
