The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced plans to introduce a long-term moratorium on business inspections to safeguard them against pressure.
He made this statement during the "Government and Business Forum: From Dialogue to Partnership," held in Kyiv, as reported by "Interfax-Ukraine."
"I have instructed to prepare a decision for a long-term moratorium on business inspections to shield entrepreneurs from the influence of unscrupulous individuals," said Zelensky.
"We are continuing the work of the 'State - Business' council, and I propose to expand its membership. I urge everyone involved in its activities to be as active as possible," he added.
According to Ukrinform, Zelensky believes that Ukraine can significantly improve its economic strength, but requires a regulatory framework.
"Ukraine can be economically stronger, so we need to implement many more ideas and talents from Ukrainian entrepreneurship. This requires clear conditions, sensible regulation, and strong government advocacy for Ukrainian businesses globally," Zelensky emphasized.
