Financial Support for Agriculture Sector in Ukraine for 2025
In 2025, the agriculture sector in Ukraine is set to receive 10.9 billion UAH, with 43% of this funding coming from international financial organizations.
This was announced by MP Nina Yuzhanina, as reported by INTERFAX-Ukraine.
In 2024, budget support for agricultural producers amounted to 7.075 billion UAH, allocated through programs of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the Ministry of Economy.
She stated that 39% of the funding (2.78 billion UAH) was provided by international financial institutions. These funds were directed as subsidies per hectare (70%), for maintaining cattle (22%), and for supporting goat and sheep farming (8%).
The remaining 1.36 billion UAH from the state budget was allocated for grants aimed at creating or developing processing enterprises (65%), horticulture, berry farming, and viticulture (23%), and greenhouse farming (12%).
Yuzhanina reported that the budgetary support for farmers is planned to increase to 10.9 billion UAH in 2025, with 43% expected to be financed by international financial organizations.
She also reminded that in 2024, the budget financing for humanitarian demining of agricultural land was only 0.4 billion UAH, with over 2.5 billion UAH of the allocated funds directed towards payments for the "Winter eSupport" program.
