Ukraine has received an invitation from the United States to join a new international body known as the "Peace Council".
When asked about the invitation, President Zelensky confirmed: "We have received the invitation, and our diplomats are currently working on this matter."
At the same time, he noted that it is difficult to imagine how Ukraine could cooperate with Russia and Belarus within the same body.
"Russia is our adversary, and Belarus is aligned with them. It is hard for me to envision how we could work together with Russia in any council. This is not just about the "Peace Council". Russia represents a "council of war", as does the regime of Lukashenko in Belarus," he added.
President Donald Trump initiated the creation of the "Peace Council". According to Bloomberg, the U.S. administration is asking countries that wish to have a permanent seat in the council to contribute at least 1 billion dollars.
Currently, the U.S. has invited over 40 countries to participate in the council, including Belarus and Russia.
