Ukrainian Foreign Minister's Visit to Canada
From November 11-12, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha will visit Canada to attend a meeting of the G7 foreign ministers, at the invitation of his Canadian counterpart Anita Anand. This visit is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The Foreign Minister will participate in thematic discussions focusing on defense cooperation development and increasing pressure on the Russian Federation alongside G7 and EU countries. Additionally, meetings regarding maritime security and strengthening energy resilience will involve invited nations such as India, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, South Korea, Australia, and Mexico.
During his stay in Canada, Sybiha will also hold bilateral talks with foreign ministers from South Korea, Japan, Brazil, and India.
Key topics of discussion will include enhancing support for Ukraine against Russian aggression, restoring peace, increasing sanctions pressure and isolation of the aggressor, fully utilizing frozen Russian assets, and strengthening Ukraine's energy resilience in the face of Russian terror. There will also be discussions on additional investments in the development of Ukraine's defense industry and enhancing institutional and defense capabilities, as stated by the Ministry.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will join the G7 meeting at the level of foreign ministers in Canada this week, where he will discuss the U.S. president's initiative for peace in Ukraine.
The G7 ministerial meeting will take place on November 11-12 in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada.
