As part of announced energy assistance, Ukraine will receive 70 generators from Spain. This was reported by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga on social media platform X following his meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares Bueno.
"I expressed gratitude to Spain for its announced energy support for Ukraine — 70 generators that will arrive soon. We deeply appreciate this aid to the Ukrainian people ahead of winter," he wrote.
The minister also mentioned that they discussed ways to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and energy resilience, including military-technical cooperation, as well as Spain's significant contribution to the PURL and SAFE programs.
Sybiga emphasized the need for continued sanctions pressure on Russia through the 19th EU sanctions package, as well as visa regime restrictions.
"We also see potential for partnerships between cities and regions of Ukraine and Spain. I greatly value Spain's commitment to rehabilitating Ukrainian children from frontline areas," he noted.
