Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte held crucial talks regarding Ukraine's urgent defense needs and the escalation of pressure on Russia.
Shmyhal reported this via Telegram.
«This important meeting with the NATO Secretary General in London was highly significant. Rutte's speech at the meeting in the «Ramstein» format reaffirmed NATO's commitment to supporting Ukraine. We are grateful for this support», the minister noted.
According to him, «we discussed the pressing defense requirements. I highlighted the effectiveness of the PURL support system for Ukraine, which has already involved 11 countries. Our partners understand that the Kremlin has no intention of stopping. Therefore, it is essential to enhance assistance to Ukraine and increase pressure on the aggressor. We coordinated our next steps».
«We appreciate NATO's role in establishing close coordination among partners, particularly in the «Ramstein» format. We look forward to further developing cooperation and expanding our defense capabilities», Shmyhal added.
