Extraordinary NATO-Ukraine Council Meeting in Response to Russian Aggression

On Monday, September 1, an urgent meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council will be held in Brussels.

This was announced by Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga on social media platform X.

Sibiga noted that this meeting was called at Ukraine's request in response to the recent massive airstrikes by Russia.

“We expect a focused discussion on joint actions to adequately respond to Russia's refusal of peaceful efforts and escalation of terror against Ukrainians,” – stated Sibiga.

The head of the Ukrainian foreign affairs ministry thanked NATO and all allies who continue to support Ukraine.

“Moscow must feel increased pressure as a consequence of the ongoing war,” – he added.

It is worth noting that on the night of August 28, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukrainian regions, causing significant damage to the capital.

As reported by “European Truth,” the attack damaged the Office of the European Investment Bank and the building of the EU representation.

The European External Action Service, led by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, summoned the Russian chargé d'affaires in the EU over the attack on the EU delegation in Kyiv.
