By the end of the year, Ukraine expects to receive around 1.8 million artillery shells as part of Czech initiatives.
This was announced by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha during a joint press conference with Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky in Kyiv.
«The Czech Republic is making significant contributions to our collective security and defense. Thanks to the Czech shell initiative launched in 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are to receive approximately 1.8 million artillery shells by the end of this year,» said Sybiha.
He emphasized that this is not merely assistance, but a crucial contribution to Ukraine's defense.
«The delivery of ammunition purchased using frozen Russian assets is a testament to the decisive and bold actions of the Czech Republic. Thank you. We welcome the continuation of this initiative,» the head of Ukrainian diplomacy remarked.
