Strengthening Defense Cooperation Between Ukraine and the USA
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, stated that Ukraine and the USA are actively collaborating in military support.
This was reported by Shmyhal on his Telegram channel.
He noted that an important meeting took place today in Kyiv with the U.S. Chargé d'Affaires in Ukraine, Julie Davis, Defense Attaché Brigadier General Brad Nicholson, and Lieutenant General Curtis Buzzard.
«I expressed gratitude to the United States, President Trump, and Congress for their unprecedented support. Especially for the provision of Patriot systems and long-range weapons, which are crucial for protecting against ongoing Russian attacks», - emphasized Shmyhal.
The participants discussed the progress in implementing defense support agreements and the development of bilateral cooperation, particularly in drone manufacturing. Shmyhal highlighted that new important initiatives are in preparation.
«We summarized the outcomes of the meeting in the «Ramstein» format. I thanked Minister of Defense Pete Hegseth for his participation. We aim to hold the next meeting in person soon», - he noted.
Shmyhal also added that the Ministry of Defense is working closely with American partners.
«Our goal is to achieve lasting peace through strength. We are confident that this can be achieved with U.S. leadership», - he concluded.
