Cooperation Between Ukraine and the UK on Security Matters

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, had a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, to coordinate diplomatic efforts.

Keir Starmer expressed his condolences regarding the recent Russian bombardments. Volodymyr Zelensky thanked him for the support extended to Ukraine and its citizens. The leaders discussed the possibility of additional funding for Ukrainian drone production, particularly for interceptors, this month.

The President and the Prime Minister exchanged views on expectations for the upcoming coalition meeting in Rome scheduled for the next few days. Efforts are underway to ensure that decisions are as robust as possible, focusing on strengthening air defense, economic pressure on Russia, sanctions, and security in the Black Sea.

Special attention was given to various other formats of interaction with key partners, especially the “Ramstein” framework. Volodymyr Zelensky and Keir Starmer discussed the prospects of enhancing its effectiveness and agreed to work on this together.
