Constitution Day Celebration in Ukraine: Protecting Children's Rights
The Ukrainian Embassy in the Philippines hosted a special event to celebrate Ukraine's Constitution Day. The opening speech was delivered by the online operational director of the President's initiative Bring Kids Back UA, advisor to the head of the Office of the President, Daria Zarivna.
She expressed gratitude to the Philippines for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and emphasized the importance of protecting children's rights, particularly concerning the systematic deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia.
«The Bring Kids Back UA initiative, created by President Volodymyr Zelensky, works daily to find, return, and reintegrate every abducted child. So far, we have managed to bring back over 1300 children. However, thousands still remain in occupation or have been taken to Russia,» noted Daria Zarivna.
The advisor to the President's Office also highlighted that the international community, including the Philippines, can make a significant contribution to returning Ukrainian children. She urged everyone to join the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, which already unites 41 countries and the Council of Europe.
«Please remember: thousands of Ukrainian children are deprived of the chance to live their childhood due to Russia's criminal actions. But with your help, we can bring them home. After all, children are not bargaining chips,» emphasized Daria Zarivna.
