Macron Ready to Facilitate Ukraine-Russia Negotiations
French President Emmanuel Macron announced that his country is prepared to assist in initiating direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia if a 30-day ceasefire is achieved.

Details: Macron is confident that allies will be able to arrange talks between Kyiv and Moscow.
According to him, the primary goal is to demonstrate unity between Ukraine, the USA, and Europe in their efforts to end the full-scale conflict.
"If we all stand firm that a 30-day ceasefire is what we have been advocating, we will do this, and we will initiate direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. We are ready to help," he emphasized.
At the same time, the French president added that if the ceasefire is not respected, additional "much stricter" sanctions will be imposed.
US President Donald Trump, after speaking with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky on May 8, expressed a desire for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire.
Recently, Reuters reported that the United States, along with European allies, is working on a proposal for a 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.
The agency claimed that the proposal for a 30-day ceasefire had not yet been approved and would be discussed over the weekend at the "Coalition of the Resolute" summit taking place in Ukraine.
