Zelensky on the Significance of the Agreement with the USA
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed hopes that the mineral agreement with the United States will be ratified by the Verkhovna Rada, stating that those deputies who do not support the agreement should lose their visa privileges to the USA.

Details: According to the president, during the ratification vote for the mineral agreement, deputies should think not just about the future but also about preserving essential resources today, emphasizing the importance of US support.
“There are individuals who are inclined not to support this. For instance, I believe the USA should simply revoke their visas,” Zelensky suggested.
Without naming specific individuals, the president referred to deputies who “visit the USA every month” and discuss the negative situation in Ukraine, indicating which parts of the country are important and which are not.
“After they meet with congressmen or senators, they claim they are friends of the USA, but then return to Ukraine and fail to vote on issues crucial for America,” the president stated.
“The results will be displayed: who voted and who didn’t. One cannot play a double game,” he concluded.
Previously, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal expressed hope that the Verkhovna Rada would ratify the signed mineral agreement with the USA by May 8.
It should be noted that currently, the 'technical' agreements are not formed, signed, or published, making it impossible to assess the feasibility of ratification and the long-term consequences of the agreement for Ukraine.
