New Visa-Free Entry Regulations for Ukrainians in Georgia

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has introduced new regulations that shorten the visa-free stay period for Ukrainians in the country.

Details: On April 3, it became known that the visa-free stay duration for Ukrainian citizens in Georgia has been reduced from three years to one year.
"Ukrainian citizens have the right to enter Georgia without a visa and stay in the country for one full year," – the document states.
For Ukrainians who entered and were present in Georgia before February 24, 2025, their stay will be extended until February 24, 2026.
Background: In February 2023, the Georgian authorities allowed Ukrainians to stay in the country without a visa for two years. In April 2024, this period was extended to three years.
