Progress in US-Russia Talks in Riyadh
According to sources, the negotiations between the United States and Russia in Riyadh have resulted in "significant progress," and a "positive announcement" is anticipated soon.

Details: A White House representative indicated that during the talks in Riyadh, "significant progress" was made, with a "positive announcement" expected "in the coming days".
A Russian source confirmed that the negotiations concluded late Monday, and the draft joint statement has been sent to Moscow and Washington for approval, with plans to publish it on Tuesday.
In the White House, it was noted that the primary goal of this round of Saudi negotiations is to establish a ceasefire in the Black Sea and to revive the Black Sea Grain Initiative, which Russia withdrew from in 2023.
Background: The Russian and American delegations completed discussions in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh concerning the end of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Prior to this, on March 23, discussions were held in Riyadh between the American and Ukrainian delegations.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the meeting aims to "discuss the parameters of various ceasefire proposals currently on the table".
Following the talks between the Americans and Russians, the Ukrainian delegation will hold follow-up negotiations with the US delegation, as confirmed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
