Intense Fighting in Zaporizhzhia: Frontline Update
In the Zaporizhzhia region, particularly in the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole directions, enemy forces have intensified their assault actions and artillery strikes. To protect the lives of personnel, the Defense Forces had to withdraw from positions near five settlements. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Defense Forces on Facebook.
“In Zaporizhzhia, particularly in the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole directions, intense fighting has been ongoing for several days. The enemy is using all available weaponry to push the Armed Forces of Ukraine from their held positions. In the past few days, there have been up to a hundred combat engagements recorded here. Due to the increase in enemy assault actions, numerous infiltration attempts, and intensified artillery fire on our positions (over 400 shellings daily using about 2000 munitions), as well as the actual destruction of all shelters and fortifications, to preserve personnel lives, the Defense Forces had to retreat from positions near the settlements of Novouspenivske, Nove, Okhotnyche, Uspenivka, and Novomykolaivka,” the statement said.
It is noted that the enemy is trying to establish their groups in these settlements, but Ukrainian defenders are doing everything possible to counter these attempts. Fierce battles are ongoing near Yablukove, Rivnopillya, and Solodke.
According to the press service, the enemy from the eastern direction aims to encircle Huliaipole and cut off logistical routes leading from Pokrovske. Fighting continues.
“For every inch of our land, assault and other units are fiercely battling,” the Southern Defense Forces emphasized.
On the front, on the previous day, November 10, 170 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded.
