New Wave of Air Attacks on Ukraine
During the night on Saturday, Ukrainian defense forces successfully thwarted a new attack, neutralizing four ballistic missiles and 50 drones launched by Russian troops against Ukraine. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
According to military sources, from 7:00 PM on Friday, October 24, Russian invaders fired a total of nine Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov and Kursk regions, along with 62 drones, including Shahed and "Gerbera," from their cities of Kursk and Oryol, as well as from the temporarily occupied Hvardiyske (ARC Crimea). About 40 of these were Shahed-type drones.
The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian defense forces.
As of 9:00 AM on Saturday, preliminary data shows that air defense shot down/jammed four ballistic missiles and 50 enemy drones of various types across the north, south, and east of the country.
Strikes from five ballistic missiles and 12 attack UAVs were recorded at 11 locations. Additionally, debris from downed targets was found at four sites. The Air Forces warn that the enemy attack is ongoing, with several Russian drones detected in the skies over Ukraine.
