The Ukrainian air defense forces successfully neutralized 58 out of 98 drones that attempted to attack the country on the evening of October 20. This information was shared by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine via Telegram.
It is reported that starting from 7 PM on Monday, October 20, the aggressor launched two ballistic missiles "Iskander-M/KN-23" from the Bryansk region, as well as four S-300 guided missiles from the Kursk region. A total of 98 strike UAVs were recorded, including the Shahed type, which were launched from various directions, including Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (RF), and Chauda and Gvardeyskoye (temporarily occupied Crimea). Approximately 70 of them are Shahed drones.
To defend Ukraine’s airspace, aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, UAV systems, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces were engaged.
As of 8:30 AM on Tuesday, October 21, preliminary data indicates that 58 drones were shot down in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.
Missile strikes and 37 strike UAVs were recorded across 10 locations, with debris from downed targets falling in two areas. The attack is ongoing, and several enemy UAVs remain in the airspace.
