The air defense forces successfully neutralized 40 out of 62 Russian drones during a recent attack. According to information shared by the Ukrainian Air Forces on Telegram, Russian troops launched an assault using 62 drones, including Shahed types, starting from 7 PM on Saturday, October 18. They attacked from various locations including Millierovo, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. Approximately 40 of these were Shahed drones.
The air assault was countered by the aviation, anti-air missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Preliminary reports indicate that by 8:30 AM on Sunday, October 19, the air defense had succeeded in downing 40 drones in the northern and eastern regions.
Confirmed strikes on 19 attack drones were recorded at 7 locations. The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones still present in the airspace.
