Night Attack on Zaporizhzhia: Latest Details
Over 73,000 subscribers are without electricity due to a night attack on Zaporizhzhia. This was reported in Telegram by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration, Ivan Fedorov.
More than 67,000 subscribers in the regional center and over 6,000 in the Zaporizhzhia district are without power, he specified.
The energy services have already begun restoration work, which is expected to be completed by the end of the day, Fedorov emphasized.
He also added that eight apartment buildings, eight private homes, and several non-residential buildings were damaged as a result of the night attack on the city.
One apartment building suffered serious damage. In others, windows were shattered and facades were damaged. Municipal services have already begun to address the aftermath of the attack by boarding up broken windows.
According to reports, Russian forces launched at least 10 drone and guided bomb strikes on Zaporizhzhia, leading to power and water outages in some areas. The number of injured in the city has risen to nine, with one person confirmed dead, and there are reports of destroyed homes and fires.
Later, Ivan Fedorov announced that the number of casualties from the attack had increased to ten. Most of the injured are in a condition suitable for outpatient treatment, but two individuals—a 60-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman—are still under medical examination.
